Esme - The youngest litter picker in Moreton

Esme is the youngest litter picker in Moreton and New Brighton Radio was privileged to have young Esme in the studio with her mum Sabrina. Esme and Sabrina were talking about how they go around supporting the local community and nursing homes with cakes shes baked, She is also very popular in the Moreton community. Esme enjoys litter picking in the local community and it all started when she discovered her dislike to litter getting dropped on the floor and her urge to pick it up! The Copper Jar - Local Charity

Steve popped into the studio with lyn & Marie to talk about the local charity The Copper Jar. This is a fantastic charity helping raise funds for local people who are in an unfortunate position. They are a charity where the members make the decisions. You can hear the full interview below.

Kerry from The Cold Water Swimming Group

This week our very own lyn is talking to Kerry, Haley and Rosie and  from the cold water swimming group based in the Wirral. They run a local group based on the Wirral. The group was started last year when they were swimming in the winter 2020 swimming in the local river Mersey. They started the group to help with mental health during the lock-down's of 2020. you can hear there interview below.

Shirley Bowen from the Hope from New Brighton Project

This week on the Wirral Today Community Show. Lyn & Marie interview Shirley Bowen from the Hope from New Brighton Project. They are a community initiative, Based at New Brighton Baptist Church. They offer practical and supportive help, Ranging from Food Parcels for those in need and using donations and money they raise from local partners to help the community. They are supported by the church members and others within the community.
